Who We Are

We are a nonpartisan coalition of concerned citizens working to ensure that every eligible voter that casts a ballot is able to record and protect their vote. Our team brings exceptional political and technology skills and we are all working on a volunteer basis because we want to protect your right to vote and ensure a fair election.

Brian Baird

Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1999-2011 for WA-03, where he chaired the Science and Technology subcommittees on Energy and the Environment, and the Research, Technology and Education subcommittee. He also served on the House Budget; Transportation and Infrastructure; and Small Business Committees. Baird currently advises leading law firms, businesses leaders, patient advocacy organizations, and political campaigns.

Eliza Orlins

Manhattan public defender and outspoken advocate for our city’s most vulnerable. For more than a decade, she has represented over 3,000 New Yorkers who otherwise would not have been able to afford a lawyer. In 2020, Eliza announced her candidacy for Manhattan District Attorney, running on a platform designed to decriminalize poverty, end mass incarceration, take on the inequalities in our system, and transform criminal justice in New York, and make our city safer for everyone.

Ross Dakin

Technologist with a background in homeland defense, information security, and product development. Ross is passionate about the confluence of technology and government, having served as a Presidential Innovation Fellow in the Obama White House and currently serving as a member of the New Jersey State Office of Innovation.

Shelley Metzenbaum

Previously served as the founding president of the Volcker Alliance after leading President Obama’s Office of Performance and Personnel Management at the U.S. Office of Management and Budget. She served as EPA Associate Administrator for Regional Operations and State/Local Relations during the Clinton Administration. She currently leads The BETTER Project, helping governments and nonprofits use data to improve performance on multiple dimensions.

Chandell Stone

Serial social entrepreneur, education leader, consultant, and small business founder. She began her career serving low-income students in the Bronx and Harlem. She simultaneously launched a multi-national volunteer travel company, Destination Impact, that supports education and anti-homelessness initiatives in 5 countries. She currently leads the design and launch of Dunia Collegiate, a middle school, and is reimagining higher education for BIPOC students with Degrees of Freedom.

Brigitte Bradford

Growth marketing consultant with over a decade of experience launching and growing consumer finance, healthcare, and wellness tech companies that focus on expanding access and improving literacy. She co-founded a text-based wellness tracking platform for college students, and previously worked for Senator Ted Kennedy and HuffPost.

Seth Andrew

Seth Andrew is a serial entrepreneur & CEO who leads Democracy Builders, a social sector studio changing the face of education, civics, and technology around the world. Seth has served as a Senior Advisor at Johns Hopkins University, Adjunct faculty at Harvard, Global Director at Bridge International Academies, and Founder & Superintendent of Democracy Prep Public Schools. Seth served in the Obama White House as Senior Advisor in the Executive Office of the President.

Alison Weidman

Brand marketing, communications and philanthropist with over a decade of experience. Her brand work for Macy’s annual holiday campaign, Believe, won Clio and Webby awards. She leads and volunteers with New York City’s most prominent and impactful organizations - Apollo Theater, Citizens Committee for New York City, iMentor, East Harlem Tutorial Program - to mentor and engage the next generation of young people and philanthropists.

Nick Fitz

Founder and advisor to social impact startups, nonprofits, and political organizations. CEO at Momentum, Co-Founder at DefeatByTweet, Fellow at On Deck. He was previously a Senior Behavioral Scientist at Duke’s Center for Advanced Hindsight, Research Associate at UBC’s National Core for Neuroethics, and a Research Fellow at the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies.

Chris Vance

Senior advisor to the Lincoln Project, Communications and External Affairs Manager in the King County Assessor’s office, part time adjunct professor at the University of Washington’s Evans School of Public Policy and Governance, and Senior Fellow at the Niskanen Center. He is a former State Representative, King County Councilmember, Chairman of the Washington state Republican Party, and US Senate nominee in 2016.
